Daniel Halloran is ICANN's Chief Data Protection Officer and Deputy General Counsel, having joined the organization in May 2000. Throughout their tenure, Daniel has held various key roles, including Registrar Liaison, Chief Registrar Liaison, and Acting Secretary. In their current position, Daniel focuses on legal matters related to gTLD registry and registrar issues, as well as overseeing ICANN's data protection and privacy programs. Daniel holds a J.D. from Loyola Law School and an A.B. from the University of Chicago, while also being fluent in Spanish and conversant in Portuguese and Mandarin Chinese.
