Zenobia Fields

Zenobia Fields currently serves as the Director of the Department of Economic Development for the City of Plainfield since October 2022. Previously, Zenobia held the position of Director of Government & Community Relations at the New Jersey Department of Transportation from February 2019 to November 2022, where key responsibilities included managing a comprehensive liaison program with legislative bodies and overseeing communication regarding transportation initiatives. Zenobia's extensive experience in planning includes roles such as Department Director of Planning, Manager of Mobility Programs & Planning Analysis, and Principal Planner at the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority from August 2007 to February 2019. Prior to this, Zenobia worked as a Project Planner at PlanSmart NJ and as a Planner at Michael Baker International. Zenobia holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
