Rae Morris has been working in the medical coding and billing field since 2009. Rae began their career as an intern at East Georgia Regional Medical Center and Evans Memorial Hospital. In 2009, they were also hired as the HIM Manager at St. Simons By-the-Sea, where they were responsible for coding and abstracting patient records. In 2012, they became a Contractor for Experienced Behavioral Health Coding. Since 2013, they have been employed at ICANotes LLC as a Clinical Education & Support, Sr. Level/SME Medical Coding & Billing, providing clinical education, training, and support to their customers.

Rae Morris has a diverse educational background. In 1999, they attended Brewton-Parker College, studying English. Later that same year, they enrolled at Georgia Southern University to pursue a Pre-Pharmacy degree, but did not complete the program. In 2007, they attended Ogeechee Technical College, where they obtained an AAS in Health Information Technology and a Certificate in Medical Coding. Finally, they returned to Georgia Southern University in 2013 and graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Sociology, Business, & Writing. In addition, they obtained a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification from AHIMA in July of 2010.
