Gerald Leekey has over 30 years of experience in aviation. Gerald began their career in 1987 as a U.S. Naval Aviator and Safety Officer for the US Navy. In 1998, they joined American Airlines as an AIRBUS A320 Captain and LOSA Observer. In 2011, they became a Private Contractor and Checklist Development Consultant for Oil and Gas companies, as well as a HSE Consultant. In 2014, they founded ICARUS Ops LLC, a digital checklist compliance verfication software used in tablet and wearable technology form, and consulted in human factors mitigation to enhance performance and safety. Gerald also worked as a Design and Technical advisor for MER-AIR-TERRE MATWATCHES, leading a hand picked team to design and offer a rugged, useful and quintessential aviator timepiece for global sales.

Gerald Leekey holds a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology, General from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Gerald also attended Naval Aviation Safety School for Aviation Accident Investigation and Human Factors. Gerald has obtained certifications in BOSIET, HUET, STCW, and SafeGulf.
