Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith is a retired Engineering and Government Relations Specialist, recognized for extensive experience as a regulatory liaison with CARB and EPA. They served as the Senior Development Engineer at the University of California Riverside from 1995 to 2004, where they led research in vehicle emissions and managed complex projects. Their career included roles as Senior Emission Engineer at Generac Power Systems and Senior Technical Specialist at Navistar, where they were instrumental in emissions testing and strategic regulatory development. Currently, Matthew is a Senior Government Relations Consultant at Navistar, focusing on regulatory policy and technical strategy. They hold both a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from the University of California Davis.
