Florian Baier

Florian Baier is an experienced professional in the field of economics and climate analytics, currently serving as Climate Lead Analytics at ICE since May 2023. Prior to this role, Florian held the position of Senior Research Analyst at SparkChange, where responsibilities included assessing risks and opportunities in global carbon markets and developing scalable analytical models. From January 2020 to September 2022, Florian was the Director of Scenario Analysis at UBS, leading a team responsible for designing macroeconomic and climate risk scenarios. Additionally, as a Senior Economist at Fathom Financial Consulting from March 2014 to January 2020, Florian managed macroeconomic modeling projects and directed the Eurozone team. Florian's academic background includes a Master of Science in Economics from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics and Development from the University of Bayreuth.
