Michael Wittner

Michael Wittner serves as the Global Head of Oil Market Research at Intercontinental Exchange since October 2019. Prior to this role, Michael held significant positions at Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Bank, including Managing Director and Global Head of Oil Market Research, as well as Head of US Commodities Research from 2007 to 2019. Michael's expertise in energy markets was further established during tenure at Crédit Agricole CIB as Director and Global Head of Energy Market Research, and at Koch Supply & Trading as Manager of International Oil Market Strategy. Michael's career began at the International Energy Agency (IEA) as Principal Oil Market Analyst and included a notable role at PIRA Energy Group as Director of the Upstream - Global Oil Group. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Cornell University and an MBA in International Business from The George Washington University.
