Nigel Grinyer

Nigel Grinyer is an experienced financial sector professional who currently serves as the Head of Sales for Carbon Credit Auctions at ICE. Previously, they were the Managing Director at HSBC, where they advised the Executive Committee, including the CEO, on the banking sector, and led the European Equities Business. Before that, Nigel held the position of Executive Director at Morgan Stanley. Passionate about combating climate change, Nigel transitioned to focus on Carbon Credits while leading the Country Execution Team at the Sustainable Markets Initiative from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, they act as a Special Advisor to the CEO of MakeUK, guiding the transition to net zero for a manufacturing base of 22,000 members. Nigel earned a BA and MA in History from Oxford University.
