IceGate is an open-source Observability Data Lake Engine designed for teams who refuse to accept vendor lock-in and runaway infrastructure costs.

Traditional observability platforms trap your data in proprietary formats while charging premium prices. We take a different approach: store everything—WAL, catalog, and data layer—in object storage using open standards.

Key capabilities:
  - Highly scalable compute-storage separation
  - ACID transactions built on Apache Iceberg with custom WAL on object storage
  - Exactly-once delivery for reliable data ingestion
  - Real-time queries through WAL with full historical access
  - OpenTelemetry Protocol support for logs, metrics, traces, and events

Technology foundation: Apache Iceberg, DataFusion, Arrow, Parquet, OpenTelemetry

Use cases:
  - Achieve substantial cost savings over proprietary observability platforms
  - Long-term data retention at object storage prices
  - Real-time monitoring with historical trend analysis

Query your observability data with well-known APIs or any Iceberg-compatible tool. Scale compute independently. Pay object storage prices, not observability platform prices.
