John Cartwright possesses extensive experience in product management and strategy within the geospatial intelligence and satellite industries. As the SVP & Head of Data Product at ICEYE since March 2023, John oversees the advancement of a leading synthetic aperture radar (SAR) product portfolio. Prior roles include serving as Vice President and General Manager of Earth Intelligence Applications at Maxar Technologies, where John managed a comprehensive suite of geospatial and weather products, and Deputy General Manager at DigitalGlobe, focusing on geospatial intelligence solutions for international defense and intelligence agencies. In addition to strong commercial experience, John's background includes a Principal position at The Boston Consulting Group, specializing in corporate strategy, and a postdoctoral role in observational cosmology at the University of Chicago. John holds a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Caltech and a B.S. in Physics from Indiana University Bloomington.
