David Zippin

Senior Vice President and Practice Leader of Habitat Conservation Planning and Implementation

David Zippin is a seasoned professional in habitat conservation and biological consulting with extensive experience spanning over three decades. As a consulting biologist from June 1993 to June 1999, David Zippin conducted botanical field surveys and prepared technical reports in central Texas. David Zippin has held multiple leadership roles at ICF, most recently as Senior Vice President and Practice Leader of Habitat Conservation Planning and Implementation since March 2023, where responsibilities include overseeing complex biodiversity and habitat conservation plans. Prior experience includes positions at RECON Environmental, Inc., and MHA Environmental Consulting, focusing on botanical surveys and environmental impact analyses. Additionally, David Zippin serves on the board of the National Habitat Conservation Plan Coalition and has contributed to county-level environmental analysis in San Diego. David Zippin earned a Ph.D. in Plant Ecology and Conservation Biology from The University of Texas at Austin.
