Dr. Peter Schultz

Vice President

Dr. Peter Schultz is a highly experienced professional with over two decades of expertise in climate research and policy. Currently serving as Vice President and Principal at ICF since November 2009, Dr. Schultz previously held the position of Office Director and Associate Director for Science Integration at the US Global Change Research Program Office from June 2004 to October 2009, where leadership was provided in coordinating climate research across 13 federal departments and agencies. Earlier roles include Director of Exhibits and Public Programs at the National Academy of Sciences, where contributions were made to the development of a science museum and climate change exhibitions, as well as Senior Staff Officer for climate science policy analyses. Dr. Schultz’s research experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Penn State University focused on climate modeling, and a role as a Scientific Analyst at NOAA, where Dr. Schultz created the first global vegetation phenology map. Dr. Schultz holds a PhD and MS in Geosciences from Penn State University and a BS in Geology from Virginia Tech.
