Matt Townley

Matt Townley is a seasoned Director of Analytics with a rich background in data science, possessing expertise in advanced analytics, machine learning, and cloud technologies. They have held positions as a Data Scientist at ICF, where they led the development of technologies for climate adaptation and sustainability, and at DigitasLBi_US, where they paved the way for the use of big data tools. Matt has also served as a Lead Instructor at Flatiron School, teaching data science to career-changers, and acted as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington, focusing on demographic methods and population research. They hold a Ph.D. in Demography and Population Studies from the University of Washington and a Master’s in Geography from Texas State University.
