Michael Greenwell has extensive experience in public health communications and nonprofit leadership. Currently serving as the Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Directors for the Interstitial Cystitis Association from October 2022 to September 2024, Michael has also held previous roles as Chair and Vice Chair of the Board. At the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Michael worked as Associate Director for Communications from August 1990 to October 2003 and has been Vice President and Account Executive at ICF since August 2011, focusing on public health strategy. Additionally, Michael has contributed to the Rollins School of Public Health Community Advisory Board and served as a consultant with Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. Previous roles include Vice President at Danya International and Partner at Fleishman-Hillard. Currently, Michael serves as a Docent at The Church of the Cross in Bluffton, SC. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
