Michael Junell is a seasoned professional in disaster recovery and public assistance, currently serving as Senior Director and Public Assistance/Disaster Recovery Expert at ICF since August 2018. Mike has played a pivotal role as a technical manager and policy advisor during eight federally declared major disasters in Louisiana and has been instrumental in leading recovery efforts following Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Prior to joining ICF, Mike held the position of Senior Disaster Recovery Consultant and Technical Manager at DMS Disaster Consultants and served as Senior Construction Manager and Field Task Lead at AECOM, where responsibilities included overseeing field operations and liaising with FEMA leadership. Michael Junell's extensive experience in disaster response and recovery is complemented by a foundation built at Amarillo College.
