Steve Avery

Steve Avery is a Principal Wildlife Biologist at ICF International, where they have been employed since 1989. With over 24 years of experience, they specialize in managing biology projects, designing field studies, and conducting special-status species surveys across California, Nevada, and Oregon. Their expertise encompasses writing biological assessments, impacts analyses, and ensuring CEQA compliance related to environmental monitoring for large infrastructure projects. Prior to ICF International, Steve worked as a Wildlife Biologist for the USDA Forest Service from 1987 to 1989. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Zoology-Wildlife Biology from Ohio University and a Master of Arts in Biology-Wildlife from the University of Northern Colorado.
