Sumi Malik, AICP, is a Director of Transportation Planning with nearly 20 years of experience in multimodal transportation planning, focusing on system planning, transit, and active transportation. Sumi has held leadership roles at various organizations, including as a Transportation Planning Business Class Leader at HDR and a Transportation Planner at both the City of Portland and URS Corporation. Currently, Sumi directs transportation planning at ICF, applying equity considerations to their work and engaging stakeholders to develop community-supported plans. A past chapter president of the Women's Transportation Seminar in Portland and a 2019 DJC Women of Vision Award winner, Sumi is dedicated to reducing environmental impact and addressing climate change through effective transportation solutions.
