Marcin Płodzień

Marcin Płodzień, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at ICFO since October 2021, focusing on theoretical research in quantum technologies, particularly in quantum simulations, many-body entanglement generation, and the application of Machine Learning/Deep Learning in quantum physics. Prior experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the International Centre for Interfacing Magnetism and Superconductivity with Topological Matter, specializing in topological quantum matter and Machine Learning, at the Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences studying few-body quantum systems, and at Eindhoven University of Technology researching quantum simulators with ultracold gases. Previous positions also encompass research assistant roles at Jagiellonian University and trainee positions at ABB Corporate Research Center and the Photonic Department of Jagiellonian University. Academic credentials include a PhD in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Jagiellonian University, a postgraduate degree in Deep Neural Networks in Computer Vision from Warsaw University of Technology, and an MSc in Theoretical Physics from Jagiellonian University.
