Michael Dyson

Michael Dyson is currently working as the Vice President of Antibody Discovery and Engineering at Ichnos Sciences since July 2023. Prior to this, they were the Senior Director and Head of Antibody Display Technologies at Ichnos Sciences from July 2020 to June 2023. Before joining Ichnos Sciences, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at IONTAS Ltd from September 2015 to June 2020. Michael was also a Co-founder and Project Leader at IONTAS Ltd from October 2012 to September 2015. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Principal Research Associate at University College London from April 2012 to September 2012. Michael was a Senior Research Associate at the University of Cambridge from October 2007 to March 2012. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Leader at Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute from July 2002 to September 2007. Michael was a Group Leader of Research Projects at Sense Proteomic from January 2001 to June 2002, and the Head of Protein Engineering at ACAMBIS RESEARCH LIMITED from June 1997 to January 2001. Michael began their career as a Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh from January 1992 to June 1997.

Michael Dyson completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham from 1983 to 1986. Michael then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organic Synthetic Chemistry from the same university between 1986 and 1989. Later, Dyson attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a post-doctoral researcher in the field of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from 1989 to 1992. Their educational journey started at Tewkesbury School from 1976 to 1983, although no degree or field of study was specified for this period.
