Emily Tersoff has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to the present. Emily'smost recent role is as a Senior Technical Writer at iCIMS, where they are responsible for interviewing stakeholders, organizing information, and writing clear and concise articles. Prior to that, they worked as a Technical Writer at iCIMS, focusing on similar responsibilities from August 2021 to February 2023.

Before their time at iCIMS, Emily worked as a User Experience Designer, where they designed and redesigned websites and other digital materials for small businesses, volunteer organizations, and individual professionals. Emily redesigned and rebuilt the website for a professional musician and voice actor, streamlining the structure, navigation, and updating the brand.

Emily also gained experience as a UX Designer at Power of Patients, where they completely redesigned onboarding and TBI symptom tracking processes, collaborated with other UX designers, conducted user interviews and usability tests, and wrote a user research consent form with a focus on accessible writing.

Earlier in their career, Emily held positions as a Substitute Children's Library Clerk at Wayland Free Public Library, an On-Call Children's Reference Librarian at Wellesley Free Library, and a Library, Media, and Information Specialist at Norwell Middle School. In these roles, they conducted user interviews, guided users through library collections and information architecture, and designed lesson and reference materials.

Additionally, Emily has experience as a Circulation Clerk at Wayland Library, where they worked from 2009 to 2011, and as a Peer Writing Tutor, Online Writing Tutor, and Research Clinic Tutor at Simmons College, where they coached students through writing assignments and the research process.

Emily's early work experience includes serving as a Peer Writing Tutor and Dedicated Peer Tutor at Bard College, where they coached students through revising written assignments and coordinated with professors and students to assist in the revision process.

Emily Tersoff completed their education in a chronological manner. In 2005, they enrolled at Bard College and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Literature, which they completed in 2009. Emily then pursued further education at Simmons University from 2010 to 2011, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science. In 2020, Emily attended General Assembly and completed a User Experience Design Immersive program. This program resulted in their receiving a certification in User Experience Design Immersive from General Assembly in April 2020.
