Jay Wexler

Jay Wexler has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Jay started their career as a Networking Consultant at Netigy in 1999. Jay then worked as a Network and Systems Engineer at VSNL International from 2001 to 2007. During this time, they gained experience in network infrastructure and systems management.

In 2007, Jay joined IBM as a Software Engineer and Technical Team Lead. Jay focused on LAN and server infrastructures, providing support for IBM's Optim software division. Jay also had the responsibility of ensuring compliance with security standards.

After leaving IBM, Jay worked at Sparta Systems, Inc. in 2015 as an Expert Systems Administrator. Jay collaborated with the Information Security Team to implement IT policies and procedures, as well as maintaining the infrastructure's security posture.

Jay's most recent position is at iCIMS, where they started in 2015 as a DevOps Engineer. Jay played a key role in building and supporting the cloud-based Development and QA infrastructures in AWS. Jay also contributed to maintaining ISO 9001 certification, working closely with the Information Security Team. In 2021, they transitioned to the role of Senior Principal Systems Engineer, expanding their responsibilities to include support and security maintenance of the Production infrastructure.

Overall, Jay has demonstrated expertise in network and systems engineering, IT policies and security compliance, and cloud-based infrastructure building.

Jay Wexler attended Temple University from 1988 to 1992, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a major in Marketing. In terms of additional certifications, Jay obtained the following: FOCP: FinOps Certified Practitioner from The Linux Foundation in July 2021, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in December 2019, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA) from Amazon Web Services in March 2018, VMware Certified Professional 5 Data Center Virtualization from VMware in September 2013, and MCSE - Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows 2003 from Microsoft in November 1999. Recently, in September 2022, Jay obtained the following certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (002) from HashiCorp.
