Pratik Patel

Pratik Patel has a diverse range of work experience. Pratik started their career as a Software Developer Intern at Enjay IT Solutions Ltd., where they developed a Microsoft Outlook add-in using C# and integrated it with CRM data resources. Pratik then interned as a Software Developer at iCIMS, where they participated in an Agile Software Development Program and delivered a functional internal tool for daily operations, reducing IT Helpdesk calls for forgotten passwords.

Pratik then joined George Washington University as a Library Data Analyst/Assistant, where they worked on a research project focused on Linked Data for Library LD4L. Pratik used Python, RDF, Virtuoso Data Server, and the BlackLight Open Source Project to create a Scholarly Resource Semantic Information Store (SRSIS). Pratik also performed data extraction and cleanup from the library database tool Voyager.

Returning to iCIMS, Pratik assumed the role of a Software Developer I, responsible for designing user interfaces and building scalable architectures for a SaaS recruiting application. Pratik gained experience in performance monitoring and issue diagnosis using tools like JProfiler, Splunk/Sumo Logic, Zabbix, JConsole, and NewRelic. Pratik then advanced to the position of Software Developer II, where they served as a Scrum Master and Developer for agile teams working on iCIMS' Offer Product. Pratik implemented Restful APIs using an API First strategy, completed documentation using Swagger, and performed unit testing with JUnit. Pratik subsequently became a Principal Software Engineer at iCIMS, leading a team focused on modernizing the company's platform by addressing technical debt and operational challenges. Pratik employed a multi-layer architecture and migrated a monolithic system into an ecosystem of microservices using Springboot.
