Marc Hansen is a seasoned data governance and management professional with extensive experience in leading data initiatives across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the Head of Data Governance and Data Management at ICIS since May 2020, Marc successfully launched a data catalogue and established a data governance framework, earning two company awards for these achievements. Prior to this role, Marc held key positions at Elsevier, where responsibilities included rebuilding the customer Master Data Management application and enhancing data maturity through the creation of policies and processes. At Clarivate, Marc contributed to new system implementations as a Senior Business Analyst, while earlier positions at Thomson Reuters involved developing data quality tracking systems and managing data-related projects. Marc’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Planning from Nelson Mandela University and multiple qualifications from the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in business analysis and requirements engineering.
