Gary Curmode is an experienced Emergency Management Director and Chief currently serving Lake County, Colorado. With over 20 years of public and private safety experience, Gary has excelled in various roles, including teaching safety in the pipeline and oil industry across 43 states and serving as Planning Section Chief for Covid-19 at the Sedgwick County Health Department. Gary held top security clearances to participate in significant panels at the White House and NORAD and has led accreditation efforts for multiple fire departments, including the groundbreaking Qatargas in Qatar. Educated at prestigious institutions like Harvard University, Gary continues to contribute to community safety and emergency preparedness, particularly in response to the ongoing challenges posed by COVID-19.
