Michael Allison, MD has a strong background in critical care medicine. Michael is currently the Chief of the Division of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Medical Officer at ICmed, LLC starting in July 2020. Michael also acted as a Senior Advisor at ICmed, LLC from April 2020 to June 2020. From July 2017, Dr. Allison was the Medical Director of the Respiratory Care Program at Batimore City Community College. Michael has also worked at Saint Agnes Hospital, where they held the position of Assistant Director of the Adult Intensive Care Unit from January 2017 to February 2022, and as an Attending Physician in the Adult Intensive Care Unit from July 2015 to December 2016. Dr. Allison completed their Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine from July 2013 to June 2015 and their Residency in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine from July 2009 to June 2013 at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Michael Allison, MD obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Amherst College, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Following this, they pursued their medical education at the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University from 2005 to 2009, earning their Doctor of Medicine degree. Currently, they are enrolled in the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst, pursuing a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Health/Health Care Administration/Management. This program is expected to be completed between 2021 and 2024.
