Steve de Backer

Steve De Backer is an experienced software engineer currently contributing to icometrix since January 2020, while also serving as a mobile application developer at KU Leuven since January 2017, focusing on the development of front and back-end for health applications. Prior to these roles, Steve held various positions, including developer at DCILABS from January 2009 to December 2016, where work involved developing image processing algorithms for biotech applications. Steve's academic journey includes post-doctoral and doctoral research positions at Universiteit Antwerpen from 1996 to January 2009. Educational qualifications were obtained from the University of Antwerp and Hasselt University, covering studies from 1992 to 2000.
