Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions and educational technology. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris works on the hardware development for the DViT (Digital Vision Touch) interactive whiteboards and associated educational devices. Previous roles include firmware engineering at SMART Technologies, where firmware and diagnostic tools for similar products were developed, and electronics contracting for the Science Alberta Foundation, focusing on the design and repair of educational devices. Chris also served as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary and contributed to electronics engineering projects at Grindcom, which involved control systems for the forestry industry. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
