William Lau is an experienced Animation Supervising Director and Story Director currently serving as Series Director at ICON Creative Studio. With over 20 years in the animation industry, William began their career on the pioneering CG animated series Reboot and has directed over 18 feature-length animated films and numerous streaming content projects for major companies such as Netflix and Amazon Prime. Notably, William helmed The Last Kids on Earth, winning a Daytime Emmy Award, and has received multiple nominations for directing excellence, including Canadian Screen Awards and Leo Awards. As the owner of Golden Child Productions, William also produced independent films, showcasing a commitment to impactful storytelling through innovative animation techniques. William studied at Capilano University from 1991 to 1993.
