Uthay Kumar has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Uthay began their career as a Manager of CRM System at SBC Communications Ltd in 2002, where they managed the customer relationship management system. In 2006, they moved to SBC Communications as a Senior Technical Product Manager, responsible for architecture solutions for online and mobile platforms. During their time there, they authored the Mobile 1st Technology Plan and drove Agile adoption within the organization. Uthay then joined AT&T in 2013 as a Director of Digital Product Management, overseeing personalization and cross-selling for TV and Internet sales. Uthay also led the requirements and architecture team for the development of a new Personalization engine and Predictive Analytics platform. Uthay's next role was at Ascensia Diabetes Care in 2019, where they served as the Head of Product for the Customer Data Platform and AI. Here, they spearheaded the product development and execution of the platform, successfully implementing various data-driven initiatives. In 2021, Uthay joined Zeta Global as the Senior Director of Product Management, specializing in AI/ML. Currently, Uthay holds the position of Vice President of Product & Technology at Icon Parking since 2023. Additionally, in 2014, they founded and serves as the President of Kaau Idealabs LLC, where they developed and executed the product SmarteBucks, a utility app aimed at saving and attracting/retaining customers for local merchants. Uthay has showcased their expertise in product management, technology, and data-driven initiatives throughout their career.
Uthay Kumar holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from NYU Stern School of Business. Uthay also has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree from Anna University. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including "Generative AI with Large Language Models" from Coursera in 2023, "Creating a Product-Centric Organization" from LinkedIn in 2021, "Blockchain Basics" and "Blockchain: Beyond the Basics" from LinkedIn in 2020, and "Nir Eyal on Creating Habit-Forming Products" from LinkedIn in 2019.
