Ron Hayes

Ron Hayes is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the space industry, currently serving as a Sr. Mechanical Engineering Fellow at ICON since August 2023. Prior to this role, Ron Hayes held significant positions as Chief Engineer at Honeybee Robotics Spacecraft Mechanisms Corporation from 2008 to July 2023, and at SpaceDev and Starsys Research from 2001 to 2008. Additionally, Ron Hayes served as a Senior Engineer at MOOG from January 1996 to January 2001, specializing in space products and program management. Earlier in his career, Ron Hayes worked at Analytical Services and Materials, Inc. and EG&G Technical Services, contributing to various defense and technical projects. Ron Hayes obtained a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Virginia Tech, completing the degree between 1990 and 1994.
