Cormac Long

Cormac Long has extensive work experience in software development and engineering. Cormac started their career in 1995 as a Co-op student at the National Institute of Management Technology, where they worked on various projects. From 1996 to 1997, they worked at Aldiscon as a Software Engineer, focusing on introducing ESME applications into the Japanese PDC market.

In 1997, Cormac joined Logica as an SMPP Development Lead and Protocol Specialist, and they worked there until 2003. During this time, they also worked at BT Syntegra as a Software Engineer and Tech Pre-sales from April 2003 to October 2003.

From 2003 to 2010, they worked at Openmind Networks as an S/W Engineer, and from 2010 to 2014, they served as the Traffic Control Technical Lead at the same company. In 2014, Cormac joined OpenMIND Networks Ltd. as the Innovative Business Unit Lead Engineer, a role they held until February 2015.

Since March 2015, they have been working as the Director of Software Development at iconectiv.

Cormac Long obtained their Leaving Cert from Colaiste Chriost Ri in Turners Cross, Cork in 1992. Subsequently, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Computer Applications (H1) at Munster Technological University from 1992 to 1996, majoring in Computer Science.
