Daniel Silion

Daniel Silion has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Daniel started their career as a Software Engineer at Transilvania Consult, where they worked for a few months before moving on to Electrocontact and InfoTip as a Software Engineer. In 2002, they joined Elsaco as a Software Engineer and developed various web and desktop applications.

Daniel's career progressed, and they worked at multiple companies in different roles. Daniel served as a Software Product Manager and Project Manager at Starlims, leading the development of the SUNRISE product. Daniel then became a Software Engineering Manager at Elsaco, managing the development of the SUNRISE product and designing new functionality.

At iConnect Consulting, Daniel held the position of Director of Software Engineering, where their focus was on crafting cloud-native healthcare solutions using HL7 and REST API. More recently, they worked as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Capital One, managing software development teams within the Developer Navigator enterprise solution.

During their time at Abbott, Daniel held multiple roles such as Manager of Mobile Applications and later became an R&D Manager and Principal Software Architect. Daniel led the ideation and implementation of next-generation capabilities and was involved in research, development, and innovation for human implantable cognitive software interfacing.

Throughout their career, Daniel has demonstrated expertise in software development, project management, regulatory compliance, and leadership. Daniel has worked with various technologies and tools such as Azure Web App, Web API, Microsoft ASP, and Docker, among others.

Daniel Silion has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universitatea "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" din Iași, obtained from 1996 to 2000. Daniel has also completed additional training and certifications in various fields. These include the Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) training courses from Human Factors International in 2012-2013, Architecting on AWS from AWS Training and Certification in 2022, Machine Learning A-Z™: AI, Python & R + ChatGPT from Udemy Alumni in 2023, and Ultimate AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate 2022 from Udemy Alumni in 2022. Daniel has also obtained certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2022 and Microsoft Specialist: Programming in C# from Microsoft in 2015.
