Daniel Scott

Senior Vice President at ICR

Daniel serves as a Senior Vice President in the firm’s industrials practice where he is responsible for capital markets advisory and investor relations. He joined ICR following a 20 year sell side equity research career covering industrials, metals and mining, and utilities, including sector responsibilities in a managing role for the last 15 years. He has been a senior member of a number of leading equity research teams across leading Wall Street firms.

Prior to Wall Street, Daniel spent several years in project development and finance at early stage industry leaders in the electric utility and water treatment sectors, working on over $1 billion in infrastructure projects across the United States and Mexico. This combination of equity research and industrial industry experience provides a strong basis for his role in advising companies on value added communications with investors. Daniel has a strong network of investors and issuers across industrials, metals and mining, and power.

Daniel was formerly a Senior Equity Research Analyst at Clarksons Plateau covering global metals and mining. Prior to Clarksons, Daniel was a senior analyst at MKM Partners covering industrials and mining, a senior analyst at Cowen & Company covering industrials and mining, and a senior analyst at Banc of America Securities covering utilities and mining. He worked at J. Makowski and spin out Poseidon Resources prior to Wall Street in project development and finance. He graduated with a BS in Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy, and was a nuclear-trained officer in the US Navy’s submarine force.
