Abbas Ishag

Abbas Ishag has extensive experience in economic security and humanitarian response with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). From July 2020 to August 2022, Abbas served as Deputy Coordinator in the Economic Security Department in Maiduguri, Nigeria. Prior to this, between October 2014 and May 2016, Abbas worked as an Economic Security Delegate, managing emergency relief and livelihood programs across multiple governorates in Iraq, including Mosul, Anbar, Diyala, and Salah-al-Din. Abbas oversaw national staff and collaborated with government bodies and humanitarian actors to address urgent humanitarian needs. Abbas holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Project Management from The University of Salford and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Veterinary Sciences from the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, University of Nyala.
