Alan Hamson

Alan Hamson is a humanitarian and foreign service executive with extensive experience in diplomacy and conflict resolution. They served as the Ambassador of Canada to South Sudan and to several Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Hamson has held various roles, including Deputy Political Director for the Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction Team and Director of the Peace and Stabilization Operations Program. They have also contributed to humanitarian efforts through the International Committee of the Red Cross and have engaged in migration and conflict mediation as a volunteer. Hamson holds a Master of Laws in Human Rights Law and has completed advanced studies in peacemaking and national security.
