Jo Burton is the global lead for Economic Security at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Previously, Jo worked as the Head of Economic Security Unit at ICRC from 2017 to 2021 and served in various roles including Economic Security Coordinator and EcoSec Delegate. Jo's experience also includes serving as a Livelihood Delegate at the British Red Cross from 2006 to 2008 and as an Assistant Desk Officer for the Middle East & North Africa there from 2004 to 2006. Jo is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Humanitarian Leadership and Management at the University of Lucerne. Jo holds a BA Hons in Politics, Parliamentary Studies & Russian from the University of Leeds.
