Kate Halff

Head of Division, Cooperation and Coordination within the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement

Kate Halff has extensive experience in humanitarian affairs and international relations, holding significant positions in various organizations since the 1990s. As Programme Director at Save the Children UK, Kate managed child rights-based programming in Sudan and engaged in policy advocacy. Previously, as Regional Representative for Oxfam, responsibilities included strategic planning and representation in southern Sudan and Somalia. Kate served as Humanitarian Affairs Officer with the United Nations OCHA, focusing on donor and NGO coordination, and directed the Internal Displacement Monitoring Center at the Norwegian Refugee Council, overseeing strategy and funding. Further roles include Executive Secretary at the Steering Committee for Humanitarian Response and a brief term at the International Committee of the Red Cross. Kate's academic foundation in international relations was established at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.
