Langston Ball began their career in 2001 as a Bartender for Berri's Playa Cafe. In 2004, they took on a role as Documentation Prep / IT for Porres Construction. In 2003, they became Operations Manager for Christmas Star, LLC, where they acquired light drafting skills, created an inventory system, and developed a company intranet. In 2007, they took on the role of Owner of a small Smarthome installation business in Los Angeles, La Smarthomes. In 2010, they became an Integration and User Interface Developer for the open source home automation project LinuxMCE. In 2011, they took on the role of AV Director for the Christian Church of Congregational Christian Fellowship. In 2012, they became a Qt Software Engineer for Integrated Computer Solutions, Inc., serving up quality QML and C++ interface.

Langston Ball's education history includes attending Pitzer College from 1998 to 1999, Submarine School from 1999 to 2000, and Trident Training Facility, Bangor in 2000, all with no degree. Langston also holds an Airman Certificate - Small Unmanned Aircraft System from the Federal Aviation Administration obtained in December 2016, as well as an FAA Safety Team Aviation Learning Center Online Course: Part 107 small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) certification.
