Michael Vanek

Michael Vanek has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biological manufacturing industry. Michael began their career in 1987 as a Lab Manager at Centennial Corporation, where they managed 7 to 10 employees through all phases of product manufacturing. In 1992, they began working for Pfizer Inc. as a Systems Analyst, eventually working their way up to a staff level position in the IT department. In 2007, they took on the role of Freelance Contractor and Stay-at-Home Dad, working several freelance opportunities for Nebraska Educational Television (NET) and Big Ten Network (BTN). In 2012, they joined LI-COR Biosciences as a Software Tester, then was promoted to Software Tester Group Lead. In this role, they performed testing on software and hardware for the Biological and Environmental divisions, analyzed user stories to create test cases, executed test cases and documented results, and occasionally performed basic database operations such as SQL statements. In 2022, they joined Integrated Computer Solutions, Inc. (ICS) as a Senior Testing Engineer.

Michael Vanek obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1987.
