Ben Shoup

Ben Shoup has a diverse work experience spanning from 2002 to the present. Ben'smost recent position was as the Chief Security Strategist at Internetwork Consulting Services, LLC, starting in February 2017. Prior to that, they held the role of Principal Security Analyst at the same company from August 2013 to February 2017. In 2013, they were a Cyber Security Architect at SRA International from January to August. Ben also worked at Open System Sciences as the Security Operations Lead from January 2011 to December 2012, and as a Security Analyst from January 2009 to January 2011. Before that, they worked as a Senior Network Analyst at EDO from December 2003 to December 2008. Additionally, they held positions as a Senior Deployment Lead at Qualxserv from August to December 2003, and as a Lead Dell Deployment Technician at ABBTECH from June 2002 to August 2003.

Ben Shoup attended Grace College & Seminary from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained two Bachelor of Science degrees. The first degree was in Management of Information Technology, and the second was in Business Administration. In addition to their degrees, Ben has several certifications in the field of cybersecurity. Ben obtained the Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT) certification from GIAC in December 2009. In January 2011, they obtained the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification. In January 2012, they obtained the GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP) certification. In February 2013, they obtained the CISSP certification from (ISC)2. Additionally, in October 2013, they obtained the Assessing and Auditing Wireless Networks (GAWN) certification from GIAC. Lastly, in February 2014, they obtained the GIAC Systems and Network Auditor (GSNA) certification from GIAC.
