HISTOLOGY AND CITOLOGY: Processing and staining of tissue samples. Citological and histopathological analysis. Special stains. Immunehistochemistry.

ANIMAL EXAMINATION: Necropsy and subsequent parasitological, microbiological and histopathological examination. 

MICROBIOLOGY: Cultivation, Identification and screening for antibiotic susceptibility.

ENDOCRINOLOGY AND CLINICAL BIOCHEMISTRY: Detection of serum hormone levels (eg cortisol, sexual hormones), glucose, liver enzymes, circulating levels of cholesterol and triglycerides, determination of plasma proteins and proteinograms.

WATER SAMPLES: detection of hormone levels (cortisol).

HAEMATOLOGY: determination of hemoglobin, hematocrite and blood smear studies (differential counts, identification of haematological parasites, etc.).

MOLECULAR BIOLOGY: Detection of pathogens by molecular tools (eg PCR for Enteromyxum leei).
