Matthew Liu

Matthew Liu is a finance professional with extensive experience in financial management and control across multiple sectors. As Group Senior Finance Manager at WeLab from April 2019 to January 2024, Matthew led the finance month-end closing processes, prepared financial reports, and implemented internal controls across business units in Hong Kong, China, and Indonesia. Prior to this, Matthew served as Senior Manager of Financial Control at RBC Capital Markets, overseeing financial reporting for Hong Kong operations. Matthew's career also includes a significant tenure at EY, where responsibilities included supervising teams to provide assurance services for multinational financial institutions and ensuring compliance with Hong Kong financial regulations. Matthew holds a Master's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with First Class Honours from Imperial College London, earned between 2002 and 2006.
