The first issue of the Idaho Mountain Express was published on Nov. 27, 1974, by a small group of people who believed that a watchful and diligent press could build a stronger, better-informed community.

Since then, the Idaho Mountain Express has delivered trusted and timely coverage of the issues most affecting those who live, work & recreate in the Wood River Valley and surrounding mountains.

Our award-winning twice-weekly paper is out on newsstands every Wednesday and Friday, with home & mail delivery by subscription. Online content is updated daily on www.mtexpress.com.
