Michael (Max) Ryan has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Michael (Max) began their career as a Senior Accountant at BZW (Barclays de Zoete Wedd) in 1989 and later joined Merrill Lynch as a Vice President in 1994.
In 2005, Ryan moved to Morgan Stanley, where they held various roles as an Executive Director. Michael (Max) provided financial analysis on balance sheet and capital issues to the COOs of different business units. Michael (Max) also managed the Balance Sheet and Cash Usage and Treasury Controller teams, responsible for reporting and analysis of profit/loss, balance sheet, and risk weighted assets. Ryan co-led initiatives to re-engineer the internal management information system and develop core principles for financial product analysis.
In 2015, Ryan joined Santander Holdings USA as a Director of Strategy Reporting and Analysis. Michael (Max) managed a team responsible for the development and execution of strategy and financial planning for the company and its subsidiaries. Michael (Max) worked closely with senior management to consolidate all US reporting requirements and implemented standardized approaches for budgeting and forecasting.
From 2016 to 2017, Ryan served as a Finance Consultant at Lockton Companies, where they developed financial reporting and forecast models based on data mining of financial and sales information.
In 2017, Ryan joined BNY Mellon as a Director of Markets Finance. Michael (Max) managed a team responsible for supporting the Fixed Income and Equity business and provided financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting for new and existing products and businesses.
In 2019, Ryan worked as a Treasury Consultant at Experis, Manpower Group, where they supported key processes related to P&L reporting, risk model, end of day estimates, and trade capture. Michael (Max) also provided reconciliation and control processes and trained offshore teams.
Most recently, Ryan has been working at IDB Bank since 2020 as a First Vice President. Michael (Max) is responsible for the development and communication of performance reporting and analysis for the bank and its divisions. Michael (Max) prepares financial and variance analyses and supports senior management with standardized and ad-hoc reports.
Throughout their career, Ryan has demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and planning.
Michael (Max) Ryan's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance & Information Services from Fordham Gabelli School of Business. Michael (Max) also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting from the University of Vermont. In addition, they have obtained a certification in Business Analytics from Wharton Executive Education in 2019.
