Toshitaka Takeuchi

Principal Advisor

Toshitaka Takeuchi is currently serving as a Principal Advisor at IDB Lab since August 2018. Previously, Takeuchi held the position of Energy Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank from May 2010 to August 2013. Takeuchi's experience includes leadership roles at the Japan International Cooperation Agency as the Director of the Planning and Migration Affairs Division from October 2008 to April 2010, and at the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, where roles included Advisor and Deputy Director in various divisions focusing on development assistance for Latin America and the Caribbean from October 1999 to September 2008. Takeuchi's early career includes significant positions at the Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund, Japan, spanning from April 1993 to September 1999. Academic qualifications include a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Georgetown University, a Master's in Financial Economics from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, and a Bachelor's in Political Science and Economics from Waseda University.
