Marc Smith

Marc Smith is an experienced professional in product management and laboratory automation with a strong background in pharmacology and life sciences. Currently, as Lead Product Manager for Clinical Development at IDBS since January 2021, Marc drives business growth by executing a strategic roadmap for various operational areas and collaborating on digitization strategies. Previously, Marc served as Director of Strategic Solutions at IDBS, leading the development of the Polar Platform and Solutions. Marc's extensive experience includes roles at Lonza, where responsibilities included global planning of informatics projects and leading the operational technology function, as well as leading a team of scientists in informatics. Early career experience encompasses positions at Angel Biotechnology and NTG Hospital Pharmacy, along with a solid academic foundation in pharmacology from the University of Sunderland.
