Yu Chen

Yu Chen is a highly experienced Principle Software Engineer and Tech Lead at IDBS since November 2008, specializing in enterprise SaaS scientific informatics software for R&D in biologics and drug discovery. In this role, Yu Chen contributes significantly to the entire software development life cycle, encompassing requirements, architecture design, implementation, testing, documentation, and DevOps. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Fellow at Imperial College London from April 2005 to October 2008, where involvement in MRC e-science projects focused on integrating scientific software with distributed computing resources using Grid/Web technology. Yu Chen holds a PhD in Grid Computing from Swansea University, a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Chinese Petroleum University.
