Alex Holtz currently serves as Research Director for Worldwide Media & Entertainment Digital Strategies at IDC, beginning in April 2022, where responsibilities include acting as an industry analyst and thought leader while leading IDC’s Digital Advertising Market Model. Prior to this role, Alex worked as a Media Technology, Strategy & Market Analysis Consultant from July 2021 to April 2022. From November 2017 to July 2021, Alex held the position of Director for Strategy & Market Analysis at Grass Valley, focusing on media strategies and market analysis across various distribution channels. Alex’s extensive experience at Grass Valley also includes serving as Director of Segment Marketing & Digital Media and Vice President of Digital Media Solutions, with a foundation in product management and marketing from various roles since the 1980s. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Technology in Industrial Engineering from the University of North Florida and additional studies at the University of Miami.
