Binu Devasahayam

Binu Devasahayam serves as the Research Director for Forecasting and Data Science at IDC since October 2013, leading the development of advanced forecasting models using hybrid deep neural networks and designing optimization algorithms for predictive analytics. Prior to this role, Binu was a Market Intelligence Manager at Cisco, where predictive modeling and actionable insights significantly impacted marketing strategies and customer satisfaction. Previous experience includes a Senior Consultant position at GE Capital International Services, focusing on financial analytics and operational efficiency, as well as a Consultant role at Pharmarc Analytic Solutions, where tailored forecasting tools were developed for the pharmaceutical sector. Binu also contributed to various academic research institutes, specializing in socioeconomic research and statistical analysis. Educational achievements include a Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from Texas McCombs School of Business and a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.
