Gary Chen

Gary Chen is an experienced technology professional with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Research Director for Software Defined Compute at IDC since December 2008, Gary specializes in virtualization, cloud, and container platforms. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Analyst at Yankee Group, Director of IT at RIC International, and IT Consultant during self-employment. Gary has also held a position as Director of Engineering at EMUmail, Inc., and worked briefly at Lucent Technologies as Member Technical Staff. Educational credentials include a LEAP Graduate Program in Computer Systems Engineering from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Miami.
